"When I was looking for a massage school to prepare for and obtain my HHP, I investigated all the bodywork schools in San Diego. I had been at one 5 years before that and had a bad experience. I attended a Body Mind Open House and was impressed. I liked the energy, the attitude, and the friendliness. When I was taking classes, I found the staff and teachers to be dedicated to the well being and growth of the students. I felt welcomed, honored and appreciated. I was allowed to go at my own pace and Dr. Green and his team of teachers were always willing to take time to meet my needs as a student. Because of the format of the curriculum, all the classes educated me in the area of body mind integration and at the same time had a positive impact in all areas of my life by accessing and integrating the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. If you are looking for a good education and a chance to know who you really are, I highly recommend Body Mind College."

About our Massage Programs

At Body Mind College our training's are broken down into two different categories. All of the training's that focus on Massage Therapy and Bodywork are in the Massage School Category and all of our training's that focus on Holistic Therapies such as Counseling Skills, Nutrition, Herbology, Emotional Release Therapy, etc are in the Holistic School Category. Below is a listing and explanation of the programs that are offered within our Massage Schools category.

MASSAGE THERAPIST PROGRAM - 520 HOURS

Our massage program was developed by Dr. Barry Green, one of only two Americans to receive the “Greatest Massage Therapist of the 20th Century” award, and holder of the Guinness Book of World Records for a 50-hour Marathon Massage.
This unique program not only teaches bodywork techniques and methods, but also emphasizes training the skills necessary to be successful in massage.
In our three-part training of Body-Work Skills, students will develop such skills as “connection to the client,” “working with intention,” and “releasing the energy of trauma.” Students will also have an opportunity to develop and maintain proper body mechanics; a necessity for a full and rewarding massage career.
The 500-hour program includes two weekend retreats designed to provide an immersion experience into the material, as well as an opportunity for students to establish a deep connection to themselves and their body.
Our Massage Training is the foundation for the 1000-hour HHP program and will also introduce students into the holistic aspects of healing, and how these aspects integrate into a massage practice.

MASSAGE TECHNICIAN - 100 HOURS

Body Mind College’s Massage Technician course is a unique program training you in the foundational, underlying principles of massage therapy and health as a whole. In this class you learn all of the traditional bodywork techniques that are used in a practice, but rather than focusing on the techniques we train you in what is underlying the techniques. You will learn how to connect with your client, how to find trauma in their body and how to release it. This is a simple, but profound teaching style that we have had great success with over the last 18 years. You will also learn the art of T’ai Chi – the most widely used exercise in the world. We train you in T’ai Chi so that you can learn to use your body in a way that you will not be injured doing massage. This is the foundational class that the rest of your education will build upon.
