All
bodywork techniques share certain “skills” necessary
in order for those techniques to be effective. Whether one is practicing
a deep tissue method or
a subtle method, the skills needed to be competent in both are the
same.
The focus
of this three-section course is on developing and practicing the
skills necessary to be proficient as a hands-on bodyworker. Students
will exchange sessions in class and have opportunities to receive feedback
from peers as well as instructors.
In Connection, students
will learn the different aspects involved in the skill of connecting
to the client. Aspects such as entry and exit
into
the area being massaged, pressure, depth, pacing, etc. will be addressed. |
